SKIING FANTASTIC SOFT SNOW AT WHITEFACE
Today was my 30th ski day this month, which is a milestone I’ve never reached before.
(PACKED) POWDER DAY AT WHITEFACE
It wasn’t a full blown powder day at Whiteface, but they did pick up a few inches of snow overnight.
A JANUARY POWDER DAY AT WHITEFACE
The mountain picked up at least six to eight inches of snow today and the afternoon was full of free refills
A FIRM DAY AT WHITEFACE WITH PILES OF POWDER
Anytime you hit a firm patch of snow, there’d be a pile of powder somewhere shortly after. This made the skiing a lot more fun than if it’d just been firm everywhere!
A WINDY AFTERNOON OF SKIING AT WHITEFACE
By the time I got to Whiteface after work, all of the primary upper mountain lifts had closed for the day due to wind.
SKIING THE GREATEST ARTIFICIAL SNOW EVER
I think I skied the greatest artificial snow ever this afternoon at Whiteface. If you’d told me it was deep natural powder I would’ve believed you.

The cold temperatures must’ve kept people away, because the place was empty!

It was pretty cold with temperatures in the single digits, but overall it was a gorgeous sunny day.

Skyward is long, steep and it was used for the women’s downhill during the 1980 winter games.
Day 50 of my ski season
Today was Day 50 of my ski season and it was a great Thursday at Whiteface.

Unfortunately, I left something in the lodge as I was leaving, and that’s left a sour taste in my mouth for the day as a whole.

Conditions this afternoon at Whiteface were a mixed bag.
A SNOWY MONDAY AT WHITEFACE
Today wasn’t a powder day at Whiteface, but there was snow in the air. The mountain probably picked up an inch or two of white gold this afternoon while I was there.

Today was gorgeous. The sun was out, the sky was very blue and there were some clouds hanging around, which added to the beauty.
ANOTHER WINDY DAY AT WHITEFACE
For the 3rd day in a row, Whiteface dealt with strong winds that caused significant wind holds.

Today was day 42 of my ski season. It was the first day of the season where winds significantly impacted my ski day.
A SUNNY DAY OF SKIING at WHITEFACE
There have been ample low visibility days this ski season. Sunny days have been few and far between. Today, I got one at Whiteface and it was glorious.
SKIING THE WILMINGTON TRAIL AT WHITEFACE
The Wilmington Trail is a great run. It’s long, has nice views and is bordering on being a black diamond, though it’s rated a blue.
